Charles Pappas has covered world expos as the Senior Writer for Exhibitor magazine since 2002. In that time, he has become one of the preeminent authorities on the planet's largest and most significant event. He has addressed the State Department, worked with Expo 2020's Visitor Experience, and appeared extensively in Dubai media. In Expo 2020's ranking of the event's top 50 attractions, he was listed as no. 12.

Currently he collaborates with the the effort to bring Expo 2027 to the United States and Minnesota, and with Expo Edu, which connects the international exposition movement with local. national, and global initiatives. 

His books include “Flying Cars, Zombie Dogs, and Robot Overlords,” a probe of how world exhibitions and trade fairs shaped world history and individual lives.
